When in Rome... and Florence

A lot happened in Italy. There were some goods and some bads. We did a lot of walking, especially in Florence. I ate lots of risotto and the melon risotto was the best. We ate lots of gelato. I was introduced to limoncello (you have a bass). And there's 2 kinds of that as well. There's the good stuff and then the industrial stuff which barely even tastes of lemon. I tried them both. I climbed lots of stairs: the Duomo Dome, the Duomo Campanile next to the Duomo, the Spanish Steps, to the 4th floor of the hotel... and others. We laughed a lot, especially during meals. The wine was tasty. And how could I not mention the art. Lots and lots and lots of art. I am artted out for the next 8 years. To note a few places we visited: the Acadamia, Uffizi, Boboli Gardens, Santa Croce, St. Peters Basilica, The Vatican Museum, the Priscilla Catacombs, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, and many others. Also, the World Cup was going on while we were there as well. We caught one game in Florence and one in Rome. It was a good cultural experience to watch the games not in the hotel. There were a few... mishaps on our vacation as well. Ehh... ask me if you want to hear about them. All in all I had a great time minus the last 2.5 days. Shit happens. That's life. And after everything, the Italy trip was still amazing.
